ICEsoft Announces ICEfaces Rich Web Technology

ICEsoft Releases a First Look of Its Breakthrough Direct-to-DOM Technology At JavaOne

CALGARY, Alberta, June 27 /PRNewswire/ -- ICEsoft Technologies today announced ICEfaces(TM), a new class of rich rendering technology for Java Web applications. Extending the JavaServer Faces (JSF) framework, ICEfaces is a J2EE application server technology that revolutionizes the way users interact and experience Web applications. Utilizing ICEsoft's patent pending Direct-to-DOM(TM) technology, ICEfaces delivers dynamic and responsive J2EE Web applications to any browser, a user experience normally limited to thick-client based applications.

ICEfaces is a standards-compliant extension to JSF that can enhance any J2EE Web application. The performance benefits of ICEfaces extend to all browsers without the need for proprietary plug-ins or client-side software upgrades. With ICEfaces, developers can continue to leverage the advantages of Java programming along with the rich set of development, deployment and testing tools available and avoid locking into proprietary integrated development environments (IDEs).

"ICEfaces will transform the Web user experience," said Rob Lepack, VP marketing at ICEsoft Technologies. "It will drastically differentiate enterprise Web applications by allowing Java developers to develop and deploy interactive Web applications within the existing Web application model."

ICEsoft will be presenting an overview of the underlying Direct-to-DOM technology at the 2005 JavaOne conference, June 27-30, at Moscone Center in San Francisco. To coincide with this event, an early access release (EAR) of ICEfaces is available to developers at no cost. Product documentation and ICEfaces application demos are also available.
